Grab Some September Sun
Posted on Friday 4th August 2017 by Crete Escapes
Fed up by the British weather? These last few days have been horrific. Depending on where you are in the UK, you could have experienced up to 59mm in rain fall… so just another British summer.
September marks the end of the summer and while temperatures are still high during the day – most of the time getting close to 30°C – the evenings and nights are a little cooler making it much more comfortable than July or August. It’s even been known to rain occasionally in September, but it’s rare.
What’s more – the sea temperature remains high at around 24°C meaning that day time swimming is still comfortable and you can really enjoy the beaches.
Our Villa Kallisto – New for 2017
A contemporary and modern space, situated on an elevated position just outside the traditional village of Kokkino Chorio. The villa enjoys beautifully magnificent panoramic views across the Souda Bay – perfect for relaxing with a glass of wine, after a strenuous day of sun-bathing.
Close by are three tavernas and a well-stocked market – all within walking distance or a short drive. Looking for a little more life? Plaka is just 5 minutes by car or taxi and has some very popular bars and tavernas serving traditional Cretan food.
Remember those sea temperatures we mentioned? Well there is an idyllic cove which is perfect for snorkelling and during the week you’ll probably be the only ones there.
Just 3 minutes further you’ll find Alymirda which offers an excellent blue flag sandy beach and some fantastic beachside tavernas suitable for all the family.

That’s a saving of £445!
Split It Between 8!
Villa Kallisto sleeps 8 adults across 3 double bedrooms and 1 master – each with their own en suite. So if you can convince 7 others to come with you that’s just £218.75 per person.
We’ve just done a search on Skyscanner and there are flights on the 12th September 2017 that return on the 19th for just £159 meaning a week away in the glorious Crete sun will cost as little as £377.75 per person – how amazing is that?
